110 Days to goal.
Notice I changed the word ‘go’ to ‘goal’. I’m *going* now! My goal is something to attain. Choosing my words.
Yesterday was a great day. I did two miles at the track; walking with jogging intervals to keep my heart rate up. I only had a few dogs to walk so that was only another hour of walking. I did a simple yoga routine because I had to re-blow-up the giant ball I sit on. I used a hand pump and woohoo! my tricepses are sore today!! (oh yes, that word is spelled correctly …triceps is the singular. Trust me on this.)
I am a podcast user. I love them. I listen to them while I walk dogs, while I walk the track, while I clean the house… all the time. I download everything I am interested in. EVERYTHING. Sports. Comedy. News. Science. Anything that catches my eye I will download once, if it catches my attention, I’ll subscribe. Yes, I subscribe to a lot, but not everything I subscribe to publishes everyday. Some are weekly, some not even that often. I don’t always get to listen to every podcast and some things I pass on because I may not be interested in it right at that time. But I’m learning something all the time. If you look at exercising time as learning time (or listen to an audio book time) instead of a chore to check off a to-do list that gets ignored, perhaps it won’t be a dread and will become something you look forward to. Just a suggestion.
So, I told you yesterday I’d fill you in on what yoga routines I use. I like Tara Stiles. She has a video podcast where she does short routines that are do-able. ANYONE can do these, I promise. Plus, they are not hour long sessions (unless you put a few together which she designs some for). I like it because each mini-routine can be done in a short amount of time, so I try to do a couple everyday; I spread them out over the course of the day. Got 15 minutes? You can do one in that amount of time or less. (Time is a discussion for another post.)
Don’t do podcasts? She has her own You Tube channel where she posts the routines, too. She also has her own DVD and an app you can get if you wish.
Go check it out, start moving and maybe go learn something today. Don’t forget to exercise your brain!
