50 years ago today, the US Government (Eisenhower Administration) shut down the US Embassy in Havana and the United States stopped all diplomatic negotiations with Cuba.

This embargo is still in effect today, in fact, President Obama extended it through September this year.

Fifty damn years. Unbelievable considering what other countries we’ve treated better and who have done us worse. It makes it more obvious that they must have nothing we need and by default expose our guilt in countries that do.
