I find I amaze myself, or better said: I know myself pretty well.
I was cleaning out folders on this computer yesterday; ridding myself of duplicate things and oddball entries of unknown origin. When I saw a file titled “THIS WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE”..yes in all caps. That’s all.

If you lie about yourself for long enough, does the lie become truth? If so, was it always a lie or a truth waiting to become real?
Is ‘fake it till you make it’ a lie? or are we to believe it’s who you are… inside?

When it is a bright sunshiny day, I can see that it’s beautiful and I enjoy it. But days like today: overcast, drizzly, cool; those days are when I feel the most relaxed, content, normal.
Maybe I lived in the Pacific Northwest too long. Maybe it reminds me of the ocean. I love the ocean, but not for the beach. I love the smell of water in the air; not the loamy aroma of dirt, petrichor,...

Kids are much more intelligent than we are. They are easily corrupted, however, which is why they grow up to be just like us.
How else would you explain the way they see a dandilion as one of the most wondrous flowers and we only see a weed?

I dislike the expression ‘find the time’. People use that expression as if they are actually looking for it. Some use that expression as an excuse and never seek it elsewise. Others have the expectation that extra time will fall delicately in their lap like a feather dropped from the heavens. Not that they would notice if it did. We are covered in them from birth.
